~45th Anniversary of the Rainbow Legend~

Unveiling the full story of Masayoshi Takanaka's legendary concert "RAINBOW GOBLINS STORY"!
This release captures the legendary concert "RAINBOW GOBLINS STORY," held at the Nippon Budokan on March 11th, the day of the release of Masayoshi Takanaka's masterpiece album "Rainbow Legend THE RAINBOW GOBLINS," released on March 10th, 1981.
The concept album "Rainbow Legend THE RAINBOW GOBLINS" was created based on the inspiration Takanaka drew from the picture book "THE RAINBOW GOBLINS" (Japanese title: "Rainbow Legend") by Italian painter Ul de Rico. The first part of the show recreated "GOBLINS" on stage, while the second part consisted of Masayoshi Takanaka's hit songs. Now, for the first time, this is being released as a single audio recording.
A large rainbow neon sign hung above the stage, its seven colors shining in various patterns in time with the music.
A state-of-the-art laser light show, along with equipment piled up like a mountain range on the stage, created a fantastical world. The seven musicians who appeared each wore costumes in the image colors of the Goblins, and Takanaka, wearing a yellow jumpsuit and with rainbow-colored hair, played a rainbow metallic Yamaha SG.
At the time, Masayoshi Takanaka was already at the height of his popularity as one of Japan's leading guitarists, and this was the world of the "Rainbow Legend" that he unfolded.
Now, on its 45th anniversary, this moving stage, which has become a global legend, is revived with realistic sound.

The analog release consists of three LPs: clear lime yellow, clear red, and clear blue. These are the three primary colors, and the rainbow-colored Yamaha SG that Takanaka played in the first part of the show. It evokes the sound of the SG.

This release comes with a booklet full of photographs capturing the fantastical stage performance that unfolded using the latest technology of the time.
