Tatsuro Yamashita's long-awaited live album "JOY2" is finally set for release, his first in 37 years! The best of the best takes selected from over 600 performances over 18 years!
Fans have been yearning for this album for the past few years, and Tatsuro Yamashita himself has spoken about its production status from time to time, but Tatsuro Yamashita's live album "JOY2" is finally complete. This is
Tatsuro Yamashita's third live album, following "IT'S A POPPIN' TIME" released in 1978 and "JOY" released in 1989, but it has been a full 37 years since the previous album "JOY", making it a truly long-awaited live album for fans.
The contents of this highly anticipated release are the best of the best takes personally selected by Tatsuro Yamashita from 13 nationwide tours and over 600 performances held over 18 years from 2008 to 2025. The 3-disc set contains a total of 38 tracks, making for a truly satisfying listening experience.
Disc 1 includes 16 tracks, including live staples such as "SPARKLE," "DONUT SONG," "Bokura no Natsu no Yume," "Doyoubi no Koibito," "Kaze no Corridor," "Sayonara Natsu no Hi," and "THE THEME FROM BIG WAVE," as well as early masterpieces like "CIRCUS TOWN" and recent hits like "SYNC OF SUMMER."
Disc 2 includes 10 tracks that showcase the true essence of Tatsuro Yamashita's live performances, such as "WINDY LADY," "PAPER DOLL," "SILENT SCREAMER" (with "BOMBER" in between), and "Koi no Boogie Woogie Train."
Disc 3 includes 12 tracks with a wide selection, ranging from relatively newer numbers such as "Human-Powered Airplane" and "Theme of the Future," to more poignant songs like "The Common People" and "Always Together," as well as Tatsuro Yamashita classics such as "High Pressure Girl," "Atom's Child," and "RIDE ON TIME," and even his latest song "MOVE ON."

Disc 4, included only in the first-press limited edition, features 6 live tracks previously included as bonus tracks on singles, all newly mixed. In addition, it includes 3 edited versions of the "LET'S DANCE BABY" medley from 2010, 2012, and 2014, making it a must-have bonus disc for fans with a total of 9 tracks.
