Stereo Sound's first CD/SACD hybrid disc in Japan was produced in cooperation with Nippon Columbia, using the precious original 1/4-inch analog master tape that the studio has carefully stored for many years, in order to convey the charm of "Galaxy Express 999" to the fullest extent. The studio's veteran engineer Shigeru Takezawa put all his effort into producing the disc.
Please enjoy the newly created "Symphonic Poem Galaxy Express 999" to your heart's content, featuring delicate yet dynamic sounds.

Super Audio CD is a next-generation music media developed by Sony and Philips in 1999. Super Audio CD uses the Direct Stream Digital (DSD) method, which records music signals like air compression waves, and is different from CDs, which are recorded using the PCM method. In addition, it has a capacity of 4.7 GB, approximately seven times that of a CD, and in principle has a playback bandwidth of over 100 kHz and a dynamic range within the audible range of over 120 dB, allowing artists and producers to more faithfully reproduce the original sound as they see fit. This product is a hybrid disc with a double structure consisting of a CD layer and a Super Audio CD layer. Therefore, the CD layer can be played on a normal CD player.
